drupal6-mod-openid-provider software package provides openid_provider modules for Drupal 6, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install drupal6-mod-openid-provider
drupal6-mod-openid-provider is installed in your system.
Make ensure the drupal6-mod-openid-provider package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep drupal6-mod-openid-provider *
